Hi,

I'm Shari Sims, a contemplative teacher, writer, and creator of Meditative Unwinding.

For nearly twenty years, I've studied the practices, philosophies, and questions that shape a meaningful life. I've taught meditation and contemplative practices to thousands of people while exploring those same questions in my own life through relationships, meaningful work, community, and a continual inquiry into what helps us live with greater awareness, purpose, and participation.

Over time, I've come to believe that the spiritual and practical aspects of life are not separate. In the way that we love, spend our money, navigate relationships, and build our life's work, there is a deeper dimension available that changes how we participate in life itself.

I firmly believe I was put on this planet to help people make the spiritual practical and the practical spiritual. Today, my work centers on helping people cultivate the presence and perspective required to live with greater freedom, integrity, intimacy, and participation in life.

Meditative Unwinding is the primary expression of that work: a structured contemplative practice developed over two decades that integrates meditation, intentional movement, breathwork, interoceptive awareness, inquiry, and contemplative methods.

I've seen firsthand that presence changes what becomes possible in a human life. Through it, we can create true love, lifelong friendships, sustainable wealth, joy, purpose, and health.
